Stewardship

A steward is a person baptised into the Orthodox faith who makes a monetary commitment or pledge to the parish to support the Church and its ministries. Stewardship is also a call to witness Christ and share our Faith with the wider world and those who are searching.

Who can be a Steward?

Any person, eighteen (18) years or over, who has been baptised in the rites of the Church through chrismation, can become a steward. Each one is called to live according to the faith and canons of the Church and offer time, talent and tithe to maintain our Orthodox presence in the community. It also guarantees meaningful (voting) participation for stewards in good standing and current in their financial commitment at General Assembly meetings and other vital parish activities.

Why become a Steward?
Stewardship is our active commitment to use our time, talent and treasure for the benefit of The Prophet Elias Parish and its Ministries in grateful acknowledgment of Christ’s redeeming love.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

Make your commitment today!
