On Sunday, August 20, 2023, Very Reverend Archimandrite Amphilochios Gravalas (Father Phil for short) served divine services at Prophet Elias. He is originally from Thessaloniki and resides at the UCSF Medical Center where he is enrolled in the Clinical Pastoral Education program. Our community graciously welcomed him. He followed the liturgy with a warm message to help us stay strong and spoke of Saint Joseph as the protector of our Most Holy Theotokos. Afterward, we all enjoyed a delicious Fellowship luncheon prepared by Jose Mendoza and Summer Haworth. All in attendance gathered for a group photo as a precious memory of today, and prayed he will again visit us. Then, he made a quick tour of Pacific Avenue Garden Mall which resulted in a souvenir for Father! Amin!
