On Sunday, October 8, 2023, His Grace Bishop Ioannis celebrated divine services at Prophet Elias. His message emphasised the Gospel reading about the widowed woman of Nain whose only son was raised back to physical life. Christ only raised three individuals. They were the widow’s son, Jairus’ daughter, and Lazarus. The purpose for raising these individuals was to demonstrate his divinity. We also had the presentation of the Empty Tomb fresco by Tim Sculley. During Fellowship and at Joanna Stebbins’ request, His Grace shared the history of Saint Pelagia the Righteous, who repented and became a saint. Amin!
